“I am only going to bring my car here from now on. Ricardo was so helpful and really took the time to try and figure out the issue with my car. Even though in the end he didn't have the right equipment/resources to resolve it, he helped me think through the next steps and was kind every step of the way. Since he couldn't fix it, he even only charged me for the part cost. Super honest and caring auto repair shop.”

“I went to Jose at Foreign Auto Clinic for more than three years for everything from an oil change to a broken motor mount. He is super friendly and pays attention to what's actually going on with your car, rather than patching one problem and ignoring something else. Jose is clear about the work he is doing, provides prompt service, and his prices are very fair. We recently moved away from the area and are genuinely sad that we can no longer get our car serviced at Foreign Auto Clinic. Thanks for everything, Jose!!!”

“A+ review for Jose and Foreign Auto Clinic. My daughter living in Boston, a great distance from Dad in Chicago had need for what we deduced was a wheel bearing replacement. She took her car to another shop that will remain nameless (rhymes with wirestone) to have the work done. Getting it back something was obviously wrong, and she took it back and was told that an ABS wire was broken as, they said, sometimes happens with this job and that they couldn't get the part right away. My daughter didn't like the treatment she was getting there and got extremely frustrated. I searched for another shop in her area and came across Foreign Auto Clinic. Jose examined the car and found that the ABS wire was not broken, and the new bearing had been installed upside down (didn't even know that was possible). The issue was corrected, and she was on her way and now running great. Price was fair, service was respectful and extremely knowledgeable. Jose now has a permanent customer.”

“Jose and his team were great. I got into an accident on my way to NYC; my car was able to make it back just fine but it needed a lot of work. I brought it in just before the Christmas and NYE holidays but even then he gave me a quick turn around (I think it was ready before NYE but I was out of town at that point). I got the car back and you could hardly even tell I was in an accident. It drives great. I would definitely go back.”

“My cooling system in my car failed at about 5:30pm on a Thursday. I called Jose and asked him if he could take a look at it, and he told me to bring it right over (even though they were closing at 6).
I wasn't able to move the car until the next day, but I eventually dropped it off at 8am on that Friday. Jose called me at 10:20am with a diagnostic and asked for a go ahead, telling me he had the parts.
I got a second call at 12:50pm saying that the car was fixed. The repair was spot-on, done in less than five hours, and at a more than fair price!”

“After 8 years in Boston I have found my favorite mechanic. This is the first shop I have ever paid a tip. Excellent value for high quality work. Not to mention friendly customer service. I had a coolant leak in my Audi A4 and figured I'd try to do the job myself. After some thorough research I discovered it was going to take me about 8 hours to complete (I am a fairly decent back yard mechanic). Just to access the rear coolant flange I was going to need to remove the high pressure fuel rail, the timing chain cover, the coolant reservoir and still have no clear line of sight to the part. I called foreign auto clinic and set up an appointment with very little notice. I accidentally dropped the car off completely out of gas. They did the job in less than a day, fueled it up (he had to push it to the pump), and charged me less than I had expected. I love them.”

“Jose and his team truly deserve rewards. I was in a pretty big accident on the freeway due to the snowy weather this past month, and my car ended up spinning on the freeway and hitting the guard rail. When I first got there and finished talking about what needed to be done, they generously offered to drive me back home across the street! There was some insurance lag, but they were so patient and so kind. Within about a week, my car was completely done. They're not only incredibly kind, but him and his team go above and beyond. They fixed old scratches from before my accident, and Jose also was so nice enough to change my oil as well.”

“I really owe this place a 5 star review. I'm writing this review after 2-3 weeks from my visit. While driving my old 2003 Honda Accord, on an intersection in small hilly road, my car broke. I incorrectly assumed that my transmission broke, and started searching places who can fix my car. I even assumed that my car is now dead forever and it's time to junk it. I go junk my cars offers like $100 or $125, or $425, the max...

After calling several places, I called here. And liked it immediately. Most mechanics were not interested, not available, can't tell the quote, or just too unconcerned. Anyways, so I took the car here, they mentioned it's the axle that is broken. They fixed 2 axle on Saturday, and didn't charge too much for it, was reasonable, considering that I towed my car there. Also, fixed my A/C, light bulb...

Overall, I highly recommend this place. Because of them, I'm still driving my car... This is a great mechanic shop”

“Foreign Auto Clinic is probably the best mechanic I've ever been to. My fiancée and I started coming here last year, when my breaks went. Turns out I needed all four repaired and Jose gave me a fair and good price. Not only was the price reasonable, but he was super quick with the turn around. Ever since, I've always brought my car back, no matter how small the fix, and either Ricky or Jose have always been super helpful and quick with helping me. If and when we move, we will be so sad to not have Jose and Ricky nearby as our Mechanics!”

“I agree with the reviews about the quality of this operation, and Jose. My son used Jose based on a friends suggestion. It was July 3 about 3pm. He was on his way to Logan from CT to get his brother and then on to the cape. Instead he limped into the shop with a dead alternator and detached muffler. Jose diagnosed it and fixed it before he closed at 6pm. I'm sure he had other work to do, but he probably saw the urgency of the situation and dealt with it. Charged a fair price for the work and no upsell...we were in a tough spot and he certainly could have sold us stuff we didn't need. Honesty is the key to this business and Jose seems to be the real deal. I rarely rate anything, but he did us a real solid and he deserves the same in return.”

“Great car repair shop on Commonwealth Ave in Boston near Boston College. It is within the Sunoco gas station. Jose is the best and knows his cars; he and his crew are hard workers and get the job done efficiently and the price is always what they quote you at. He had kept my wife's VW 96 bug around until we bought a new car and is keeping my 08 Honda civic around too. The shop does oil changes too but does not do state inspection stickers.”
